This is one of my favorite scenes from one of my favorite movies, The Jackpot, starring two of my favorite actors: Barbara Hale and James Stewart. :o) In this scene, Amy (B. Hale) thinks hubby Bill (J. Stewart) may be cheating on her with one of their jackpot wins and thus tries to make him jealous by going out with another one, butler Leslie.

great, I love Perry Mason.
Even though they never out and out sowed it, I always thought Perry and Della had a romance from work. It was a more husband/wife or romance couple than employer/secretary.
As Raymond Burr once remarked, viewers only saw what went on in the office not what P&D got up to behind closed doors.
I wish they was more romance on the show!
I look forward to this show everyday the shows of today are awful I love this type of shows

Barbara Hale was a customer of mine when I was working at the May Co. North Hollywood store in about 1976. She came into our department, and the other young salespeople ("valley girls") didn't have a clue as to who she was. I did. I walked up to her and said, "How may I serve you, Miss Hale?" She beamed a wonderful smile my way, loving the fact I knew who she was. Later, I went back to the two sales gals and asked them if they knew who Perry Mason was. They nodded yes. I explained who Barbara Hale was: "That was his secretary, Della Street!" Lovely lady, that Della!

I’ve noticed a few episodes ( watched so far) where Della and Perry are wearing a pinky ring. Maybe it’s nothing but just a observation :)

Her n Raymond burr in love but she's married to Bill Williams n has 3 children. Well everybody doing the mess around.
Raymond Burr and Barbara Hale were one of those onscreen pairings that you'd swear were in love and messing around behind the scenes. We all know Barbara wasn't exactly Burr's "type" in real life lol but I bet at the time people just knew they were a real life couple offscreen. The sizzling chemistry felt so genuine I can't believe they weren't an actual married couple.
Damn was she hot!
The ironic thing is that if a lawyer did half the stuff to his female office staff that Perry Mason did today he would be sued for sexual harassment and would lose.
